Get to know me

Hi, I’m Nikki — a yarn lover, coffee enthusiast, crocheter, and proud mom based in sunny Las Vegas. I started Crochet with Nikki as a cozy corner of the internet where creativity, connection, and a love for handmade things can come together.
A little about me: I’m a stay-at-home mom to a beautiful toddler daughter who keeps me on my toes and fills my days with so much joy. My husband and I have been together for 12 years (married for 6 of those!), and they’re truly my biggest supporters in everything I do. When I’m not crocheting or filming content, you’ll usually find me out hiking a trail, shopping for something fun, or with a cup of coffee in hand — let’s be honest, probably all three.

My crochet journey actually began in 2022, during one of the hardest times of my life. My depression and anxiety were at an all-time high, and I was stuck in a cycle of doom scrolling that only made things worse. I knew I needed something to keep both my hands and my mind busy. At first, I thought ceramics might be the answer — I even bought clay and supplies — but quickly realized it was way too expensive for me to keep up with at the time. So back to scrolling I went… until I stumbled across a YouTube tutorial for a crochet top. Something about it sparked hope. I went to Michaels, grabbed a skein of periwinkle yarn and a cheap crochet hook set, pulled up that tutorial, and just started. I haven’t put my hook down since.
Everything I know about crochet; I learned from YouTube — from basic stitches to reading patterns — and I love that it became not only a creative outlet but also a lifeline for me. Crochet helped me find peace, focus, and a sense of accomplishment when I needed it most.

I’ve always loved creating and sharing online. I’ve been posting on social media for about 5 years now, but honestly, I’ve been a true OG YouTube kid since way back in the early days of the platform. My dream has always been to turn this passion into something bigger — becoming a full-time content creator and YouTuber. This space is my little step toward that dream, and I feel so grateful for everyone who stops by and spends time here.
Life has so many chapters still ahead, and I’m excited to see where this journey takes me, both personally and creatively.
